Our client is an UK company specialising in designing, sourcing and managing bespoke display projects and fixture roll-outs from concept sketch through to direct delivery. The team has been active in many parts of the world for over 20 years. They have offices in Shanghai and ShenZhen and many suppliers in numerous regions of China. Because of their ongoing success, they are keen to add more people to our team in Shanghai.

Key Function:

Working directly with Chinese factories and the UK Operations and Design team, the key function of the Regional Project Manager will be Quality Control of on-going production orders and the auditing of new and existing factories. They will also support key sourcing and supplier development, respond to technical queries, expedite production and other related duties.

Job Description

• Reviewing drawings and specifications on new projects to establish best methods of manufacture and preferred source(s) of supply.

• Facilitating new project enquiries, resolving technical and process queries to ensure timely and competitive supplier quotations.

• Inspecting Prototypes and First Article samples from production tooling and feeding back to relevant UK personnel.

• Over-seeing QC activities on on-going production orders in consultation with UK Operations department and Design department.

• Expediting work in progress within factories and up to port of dispatch in consultation with appointed freight forwarders and clearing agents.

• Sustaining on-going supplier selection, auditing and development for the benefit of the global business growth.

• Supporting Client factory visits and regional tours.

Required Skills

• Fluent spoken and written English, ideally to CET6 Level.

• A thorough understanding of relevant manufacturing processes, particularly: metal fabrication; 
plastic fabrication, forming and moulding; wood fabrication; printing processes.

• Capable of working with Auto CAD and Solid Works drawing software

• Relevant experienced within similar industry, ideally within retail displays, store fixtures and/or 
shop fitting sector(s).

• BSc or equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with supplementary qualifications 
in Industrial Design.
