We have offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen and many suppliers in numerous regions of China. Because of our ongoing success, we are keen to employ a Regional Office Manager to lead our team in Shanghai.
Job Description
Key Function:
Working directly with UK Operations and Design team, the key function of the Regional Office Manager will be to manage a small team of people responsible for coordinating Enquiry Management, Production Scheduling, Quality Assurance and Supplier Development. They will also support key sourcing and supplier development, respond to technical queries, expedite production and other related duties. You will be results orientated and able to organise work so that it meets time, budget and quality standards whilst motivating your team to continuously improve.
Main Duties:
Overseeing the progress of key projects, providing accurate information, as required, to the UK Operations team.
Actively leveraging reduced costs and optimum lead-times by supporting sourcing decisions and taking part in negotiations with selected suppliers.
Through continuous involvement with local team members, plan and supervise work throughput, responding to and controlling change to ensure appropriate prioritisation of tasks.
Supporting design development projects through proactive involvement with selected suppliers and prototypers.
Supervising the updating of order control charts enquiry control monitors on a weekly basis.
Maintaining an active involvement in the quality assurance process at all stages of the production process.
Coordinating outbound logistics and shipments including management of ocean carriers.
In consultation with the Operations Director facilitate the ongoing training and development of new and existing members of staff.

Required Skills
Experience and Qualifications
• BA or equivalent in Business or Commerce related subject.
• BSc or equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with supplementary qualifications in Industrial Design.
• A thorough understanding of relevant manufacturing processes, particularly: metal fabrication; plastic fabrication, forming and moulding; wood fabrication; printing processes.
• Capable of working with Auto CAD and Solid Works drawing software
• Relevant experienced within similar industry, ideally within retail displays, store fixtures and/or shop fitting sector(s).
• An ability to communicate in Mandarin would be an advantage.
