Our company is a key supplier of glassware, ceramics and cutlery to the UK Hospitality Market (Hotels/Restaurants/Catering).
We are sourcing our products globally, and with an increasing number of our products coming out of the Chinese market we are now looking to open a Rep Office in Guangzhou / Guangdong Province. Our aim is not only to streamline and improve our supply chain, but what is more to improve the supplier rapport and cooperation with our Chinese supplier base by having an experienced and proactive team present in China at any time.
We have now a vacancy for a Quality Inspector based in GuangZhou.
Job Description
- Carry out factory audits / rolling factory visits
- Carry out production inspections at the beginning and during production runs
- Attend shipment inspections / assist official bodies (3rd party inspectors)
- Support UK team with supplier liaison, ensure quality standards are clear and will be met by factories
- Assist UK team in the sourcing of potential suppliers and assessment of factory suitability
- Travel to factories either with or without members of the UK team in order to solve production / quality issues
Required Skills
- Degree educated
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Computer literate (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Min. 3 year experience with quality inspections, ideally cutlery and/or glass and/or ceramics
- Negotiation Skills
- Willingness to travel
- Self-motivated and organised
- Attention to detail
